Author: Jake

I am the CEO of Leguee Farms, a farm that operates near Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada. We grow durum, wheat, canola, peas, lentils, and various other crops. I farm with my family, including my wife and two young sons, along with several other family members. We are a 3rd-generation farm that strives to continually improve - to leave things better than we found them. I'm involved in various places in the agriculture industry as well to try and build a better future. As a farmer and an agronomist, agriculture, and the science and business therein, is my fascination and my passion.

Why Difficult Harvest Weather is so Painful

Farming is hard. 2019 was a not-so-gentle reminder of this. But to be out here, in the thick of it, fighting the fight, playing our cards against the interminable Mother Nature, knowing that if she turns against us, we will lose; this is what farming is.
